Virtual World
Among all of the Web 2.0 feature, Virtual Worlds is the one with the least usage (other than gaming) if compared with other Web 2.0 features such as Video Blogging and Wikis. But society gradually believe that virtual worlds can be used for other purposes like Education, Business or just to be used for socializing. One of the example of virtual worlds that been used for Socializing is There.com.
Like other virtual worlds, wether its for games or business, to get started we need to create an avatar to represent ourself in There virtual environment. After we create an avatar, we explore There to meet new people, play mini-games, or just to shop for upgrading your avatar looks, such as their hair and clothes. This virtual world also can be used for other purposes not just Socializing, if we had a creativity, we can use this virtual world for educational purposes. The student and teacher can meet up somewhere in the virtual world and can start discussing about assignment.
Of course there other Virtual worlds that have a multifunction like There. So with this growing usage of virtual worlds on the world, i believe we can built relationship, wether its educational or business relation, with other people around the world without having to pay for anything but our internet and electricity bills.

How did you know that virtual worlds is the least used Web 2.0 feature? I think it is extensively used by people, especially the Second Life virtual world feature. However, because you are a hardcore gamer so this is an interesting topic to analyse as most online games offer a virtual world to explore.

Of course if you meant for gaming then Virtual World is widely used, but what i meant by the least used is becaused there’s not many virtual worlds used for education, business, socializing, and many more. That why i said virtual world is the least used by society other for gaming.
btw thx for the comment though
